13 Oct BOI Payment Acceptance and Direct Route announce the launch of contactless card payment facilities at the Limerick Tunnel and M8 Fermoy
Dublin, October 13th, BOI Payment Acceptance (BOIPA), a leading provider of payment integrations and acquiring solutions, and Direct Route, a toll plaza concessionaire, have today announced the launch of contactless card payment acceptance at the Limerick Tunnel and the M8 Fermoy toll plazas. The new facilities broaden the range of payment options for motorists at these locations to include toll tags, cash and now contactless and mobile payments via credit and debit cards.
The advent of COVID-19 has seen a dramatic fall in cash usage and a corresponding rise in card and contactless payments. The new card payment facilities will be welcome news to all motorists who pass through these locations by providing greater payment flexibility.
