Job Description – Pricing Manager 

Reports to – Head of Business Enablement – Integration, Transformation & Development

Location – EVO, Dublin

Position Summary

Based from Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, with regular travel to the European offices required.  Travel should be expected with frequency of twice per month.

Responsibilities

  • Development of innovative pricing options to increase EVO brand and market share
  • Responding quickly to all changes in Interchange and Scheme Fees to ensure that Senior Management can make informed decisions on ensuring target forecast are met
  • Ability to support colleagues from other countries and effectively communicate with individuals who may have another first language
  • Develop EVO dynamic pricing tool by utilizing data records and creating structures to automate effective system updates
  • Provide insight on Pricing for current and potential markets, with tools / models to allow EVO Sales-force and Partners to sign profitable business at volumes to achieve long-term goals
  • Support Sales and Senior Management as needed to understand all aspects of Pricing and especially potential impacts of changes in costs / markets / competitor actions
  • Direct support and input to ad hoc large scale merchant and partner pricing opportunities.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of Card Processing would be a considerable advantage, especially Interchange and Scheme Fees.
  • At least 3 years working in a Pricing environment is preferred, in Cards / Telecoms or similar environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel mandatory as well as a good knowledge of Database / other systems for manipulating large volumes of data.
  • Proven experience with a range of stakeholders engagements across the spectrum from front line to Senior Executive.

Skills:

  • Good inter-personal skills, able to demonstrate ability to work effectively with people at all levels and experience
  • Work well to deadlines and ability to utilize key learnings from completed projects to develop improved processes
  • Ability to think commercially: Translating Scheme impacts into pragmatic and understandable proposition.
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent analytical background and ability to create and review analytics
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and to be self-motivated are essential
  • Able to innovate and provide work-around solutions to problems
  • To be able to work remotely or to a remote manager

Qualifications:

  • Formal mathematical qualification is essential. This must be from a recognised education body and equivalent to an A Level or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as an absolute minimum.
  • Degree level qualifications especially in subjects that include complex data analysis would be preferred: Graduates in Maths and Physics (for example) are encouraged to apply.
  • Accountancy qualifications formally recognised by the appropriate Governing bodies are an advantage but not mandated
