Financial Accountant

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and challenging Financial Accounting team in Dublin. Our Dublin based Shared Service Finance Team is a key part of our European finance organization. This role will give the right candidate the chance to grow their careers, drive process automation and innovation via their inputs while also working with colleagues across our European and U.S. offices on a daily basis.

In this position you will:

  • Help manage multiple EMEA entities from a U.S. GAAP reporting and local GAAP reporting point of view
  • Complete accurate month & quarter-end close under U.S. and local GAAPs
  • Take full ownership of the P&L and balance sheet for certain EMEA entities
  • Assist in the delivery of management reports including commentary on P&L and balance sheet movements.
  • Complete assigned reconciliations in a timely, while ensuring any adjustments are noted, communicated and cleared timely.
  • Maintain the local GAAP secondary ledgers for statutory reporting purpose
  • Monitor SOx processes and controls assigned to ensure the entities are compliant
  • Support ad-hoc forecasting processes and corporate & regulatory reporting requests
  • Supervising & reviewing junior accountants work
  • Mentor junior accounts to ensure growth and development in line with EVO’s values

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Minimum of Two (2) plus years of PQE experience in financial analysis, accounting or related discipline. Experience in merchant acquiring would be beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel and Access.
  • Experience with Microsoft AX 12 & Blackline an advantage
