Job Description – Data Analyst 

Reports to – Head of Finance

Location – Dun Laoghaire, Dublin

Role Purpose

The Data Analyst will be tasked with the responsibility of data management including collection, organisation, and analysis & testing of data – as well as the creation and compilation of the data into discernible reporting for the management teams. The reporting will be in the monitoring of daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements of group partners, reporting on the KPIs and business requirements of the partners to the Head of Finance and European team, assisting other departments in the partner relationship and creation and review of processes around data management.

Responsibilities

  • Support on Corporate Pricing / merchant analysis
  • Creation of databases and reports for business requirements, with a view to automization of same
  • Acquiring data from Primary & Secondary data sources and maintain databases.
  • Liaise with group companies in the UK and Germany for the submission of key internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Identify, analyse and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Primary point of support for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance for ad-hoc financial and regulatory reporting and control issues.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in maths / economics / computer science / accountancy and/or 1-2 years’ experience
  • Programming / Data Science and Analytics
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, etc) and Excel Required
  • Analytical Ability
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives & prioritise responsibilities to deliver on tight timelines involving multiple parties.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
