For our customers and their customers, we are the link between the parties involved in almost any type of payment transaction.  We ensure that any payment is secure and properly applied and settled for each transaction.  EVO offers end to end support from installing the point of sale device to enable secure electronic payments at a merchant, providing software solutions to enable eCommerce and then troubleshooting and resolving issues that may occur from time to time for our customers.

We are currently recruiting for a number of Credit & Risk Analysts to join our expanding team based in our office in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. This role reports to the Risk Manager.

 

Main Duties

  • Assessment of/ evaluation of feasibility of merchant’s business models in the POS (Point-of-Sale), MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) and ECOM (E-Commerce) environment including the inherent risks related to card acceptance/acquiring .
  • Evaluation of financial figures (Balance Sheet/P&L) and assessment and interpretation of Credit Bureau Reports.
  • In line with granted credit authority, approval of merchant applications based on the risk assessment including the definition of required collaterals.
  • Verification that ECOM websites fulfil card scheme’s requirements (card due diligence)
  • Communicate with sales channels and partners regarding new applications.
  • Verification of adherence to compliance requirements and credit guide.
  • Monthly reporting and participation in reporting to the Card Schemes.
  • Participation in the analysis of fraud issues.
  • Participation in transaction monitoring of the portfolio.
  • Periodic credit reviewing of the portfolio.
  • Internal contact for risk management and compliance.
  • Training of partners and merchants on risk management processes.

Professional and Personal Requirements

  • Third level qualification preferred
  • At least one year’s experience in the acquiring industry or at least one year’s experience in Credit and Risk management in financial services
  • Experience in Acquiring / Cards industry preferred
  • Familiar with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti Money Laundering) procedures
  • Knowledge of Bundesanzeiger.de, Companies House UK and Irish Companies Registration Office an advantage
  • Familiar with eCommerce
  • Excellent computer literacy – especially Microsoft Excel
  • Affinity for technically driven processes
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Efficient and responsible way of working
  • Confident manner and good communication skills
  • Negotiation skills and strong personality to withstand demanding process deviations from sales units
  • One of the available roles will be specific to the German market so fluency in German is required
  • Knowledge of Polish is desirable due to Dublin based Risk Team working in close collaboration with the EVO Warsaw based Risk Team (however this is not essential to any of the available roles)
